Happiness is hard to be defined. It is a satisfaction that perticular needs are fulfilled. According to Maslo's Pyramid, different people have different needs in each level. The upper level will only be achieved when the lower level is satisfied. Thus, for those who live under basic living standard, having food to kill their hunger is happiness, which is also quite easy to be achieved. In contrast, rich people are harder to be brought to satisfection of happiness since there are less metarail things needed. As well as time period, sought of happiness changes along with society changing. People now no longer view the world in the same way as they did a dacade ago. For me, happiness appears all the time. Finishing reading a novel, having a good dinner with friends, learning new knowlage from class are all concerned as happiness. As long as I do not sake for extrem goals, persuing happiness is not an unreachable task. Unfortunately there is no secret for happiness. What I can suggest you is to lower your requirtments. The less you are willing to get, the easier to crash on happiness.
